Write about a time when you realized that your perception of a particular food was based on a stereotype. Explain what the food was, what you originally believed about it, and where that belief came from. Then describe how your perspective changed after experiencing or learning more about the food. Be sure to include specific details about the moment your thinking shifted and what you learned from that experience.

I used to think that Pakistani food was only handmade curry.  I had never tried it but had already made up my mind that it was something I didn’t like based ideas that came from outside. My opinion changed when a friend invited me to one of his family events and I decided to go. I did not expected the food to be such a variety of nice looking and smelling dishes. When I took the first bite a food, it was very flavorful, seasoned, slightly spicy, and very well cooked. It is to this day one of the best things I’ve tased before, and my opinion has changed since.
